Revolutionizing Prison Rehabilitation

Our Mission

Pathways for LIFE (Living in Full Empathy) is a restorative justice agency committed to revolutionizing prison rehabilitation. We transform lives, restore relationships harmed by crime, and create peaceful thriving communities.

We are believing that rehab, personal growth, and reentry are key to making our communities safer and more compassionate. Our mission is HEART: Heal, Empower, Accept, Restore, Thrive. As a result, our approach is grounded in research and real-world evidence that showcases the potential for positive change, even for those incarcerated for long-term violent crimes.

Further, we envision a future where people in custody for long-term violent crimes, who are proving their commitment to rehab, rceive a second chance to give back positively to society. We believe the shortest, safest , and most joyful road to get there is as follows.  Transforming lives, restoring relationships, and creating peaceful thriving communities.

Who We Are

Pathways for L.I.F.E Inc, established in 2011, focuses on revolutionizing our criminal justice system through restorative approaches like nonviolent communication, restorative justice, and mindfulness. Yes, we work with adults in custody. Moreover, our program offers a unique trauma-informed training centered around NVC. As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations to drive our mission of creating opportunities for personal growth and empathy development.

Our Core Values

We envision a world where the justice system restores human values and enriches relationships. Further, our healing and restorative justice methods inspire authenticity and integrity. Indeed, it fosters empathy, self-accountability, and compassion.

Join us in revolutionizing prison rehabilitation and building a peaceful, thriving world, one adult in custody at a time.

Our History

Beginning as a peer-facilitated NVC prison program, Pathways for LIFE gained momentum and positive feedback. Then, in 2019, we officially became a 501c3 non-profit, expanding our reach with the Resilience Prison Project.

Now, our integrated framework is rooted in resilience and trauma-informed care. This includes nonviolent communication, restorative justice, and mindfulness. We are currently operating at Great Plains Correctional Center whose Chaplain and administration have been instrumental in getting us up and running. We aim to spread our program across Oklahoma and beyond.

The Meaning of our Logo

The image of our logo stands as a symbol of the process of Transformative Learning. The prison razor wire at the base points to the dilemma. This crisis of entering prison challenges an adult in custody to face oneself for the harm they have caused. Next, from those razor sharpener barbs, comes the growth born of travail. This is symbolized by the figures rising. They grow onward and upward reaching toward the light. Then, like flames, wisdom blossoms from the pain and acts as an overarching protection against repeated offenses. Thus, it truly depicts a Pathway for Living In Full Empathy.
